Microsoft-Truffle Partner on Blockchain Developer Tools for Azure
According to Microsoft, the move will help developers to be able to build and manage blockchain applications for different enterprises and corporations more effectively.
Microsoft have announced a new partnership with the blockchain start-up Truffle in the integration of the tools built by Truffle, into its cloud computing service - Azure. This, according to Microsoft, will help developers in the building and management of blockchain applications for different enterprises and corporations.
"We wanted to open that up and make access to the blockchain more available to a large swath developers," says Truffle founder and CEO Tim Coulter.
The tools provided by Truffle have been available on Microsoft’s Azure since May 2nd, and according to them, have been used by thousands of individuals and organisations on the platform so far.
Currently, Truffle blockchain tools have been downloaded and used by over 2.7 million users, and the fresh integration with Microsoft means that Azure customers, which include individuals as well as large organizations such as HP, Adobe, and the International Hotels Group, as well as some of the smaller ventures, will be able to utilize public or private Ethereum blockchains with complete support from Microsoft.
